Colorado officials recently launched a user-friendly statewide website to provide information to the public about drinking and driving. The main purpose of NoDUIColorado.org is to help people make better choices regarding driving while impaired, but it also provides information for individuals who wish to educate themselves on a variety of DUI-related topics.
“This website will serve as a guide to those who have received a DUI to assist them in navigating the criminal and driver’s license process, as well as provide them with resources to help them avoid repeating the same mistake,” Glenn Davis, manager of Impaired Driving Programs at the Colorado Department of Transportation said in a press release.
The website lists penalties for impaired driving, includes an interactive Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) calculator and downloadable BAC phone apps, and features a section entitled “I got a DUI. Now what?” which answers frequently asked questions about the DMV and court systems.
Although the information presented on the website cannot take the place of an experienced Denver DUI attorney who will stand beside an accused individual in the courtroom, it does supply enough background information that people will be more thoroughly informed when choosing a DUI attorney to represent them.
