All across Colorado, police agencies are preparing for the first holiday weekend of the summer. This is also the start of the Heat is On campaign that increases DUI enforcement in Denver and throughout the region. In addition, many high schools have graduation ceremonies this weekend, which increases the importance of safe driving.
In the metro area, all police agencies are setting plans for increased DUI saturation patrol and checkpoints. The Colorado Department of Transportation’s website lists the enforcement plans, and may be found here.
If you are planning on going out this weekend, designate a driver or plan ahead with alternative transportation. The last thing you want to do on Monday morning is have to call a DUI attorney because you made a poor choice to drive.
