Denver DUI defense attorney Jay Tiftickjian has a lot of professional projects outside of his law firm, and one of them is as a legal writer. His fifth professional publication, Facing a DUI Charge in Colorado: What You Need to Know, was released May 1 by Thomson-Reuters/Aspatore and is available through Thomson-Reuters/Westlaw store and at Amazon.com. A Kindle version is also available for immediate download through Amazon Whispernet.
Facing a DUI in Colorado is a guide for motorists facing a Driving Under the Influence or Driving While Ability Impaired (DWAI) charge in Colorado. The book goes through the procedures of the court case and DMV hearing, and provides the reader with insight about how to prepare to defend the drunk driving charge as well as preparing mitigation for sentencing. The author details how a driver’s license revocation can be challenged and different strategies for defending cases involving breath and blood tests. Also included is information about Colorado DUI-D laws and what to do if charged with driving under the influence of drugs.
While some have questioned Tiftickjian about giving away the “trade secrets” of a DUI lawyer, he feels that this important information needs to be readily available to the public. “Being arrested and charged with DUI is scary, so I wanted to give the public accurate and important information to assist in dealing with the stress and anxiety of getting charged with impaired driving,” said Tiftickjian. “The more information people have, the more likely they are to make wise decisions in their case to achieve the best result possible.”
The book is listed at an affordable price, unlike many professional and legal texts from the same publisher. The soft-cover edition costs $20 and the Kindle edition is $10.
Author Jay Tiftickjian is the president of Tiftickjian Law Firm, P.C. The law firm defends clients accused of DUI through its offices in Denver and Aspen.
