Lorman Seminar Provides Tips to Defend DUI Cases

The DUI laws in Colorado are less friendly than ever to those who drink or use drugs and drive. The long-term effects of a conviction are devastating to a client’s career and future earning potential. In addition, potential consequences include jail, probation, alcohol education and therapy, increased auto insurance, and a driver’s license revocation and ignition interlock requirement.

In order to have any success defending DUI or DUI-D charges in Colorado, the practitioner must keep up-to-date on the latest science and best courtroom strategies. Sometimes the case will be fought at trial, and other times it will be negotiated outside of court with the goal of getting dismissed and reduced charges, or a lesser sentence.

On September 9, some of Denver’s best defense attorneys that handle DUI cases will present for the Lorman Education Group. Strategies in Defending DWI and DUI Cases in Colorado will provide valuable tips on how to work these cases in the courtroom. Included in the materials and lectures are strategies to cross examine police officers in how they conduct field sobriety tests, breath tests, and blood tests. In addition, other strategies and ethical considerations will be addressed.

For over 27 years, the Lorman Education group has provided seminars for over 1.4 million people. The agenda is as follows:
